Switching from BoxBrownie to ShotVista
Switching from BoxBrownie means moving from human editors paid per image to AI edits you run yourself on monthly credits. Most photographers run both for a few weeks: new listings go through ShotVista, and jobs that need a human retoucher or services ShotVista does not offer (renders, copywriting) stay with BoxBrownie.
What changes
- Who edits: you run AI edits yourself instead of sending photos to an editor.
- Pricing: a monthly credit allowance instead of a price per image. Fifty standard edits are one Essential month ($39).
- Delivery: the client gets a branded delivery page with revisions and optional payment before download, instead of files you forward.
Step by step
- Create a ShotVista account. You get 2 free credits, enough to edit one photo in 4K, without a card.
- Add your logo and brand colours under Business settings so delivery pages look like your business.
- Edit one photo from a past listing you already delivered, and compare it with the version you sent the client.
- Use batch processing to apply the same edits to a whole listing, and fine-tune single photos where needed.
- Pick a plan that matches your monthly volume: Essential (50 credits for $39) or Ultimate (130 credits for $99). One credit edits one photo in 1K; 4K costs 2 and virtual staging 3.
- Set up packages, add-ons and travel fees if you want agents to book you through a ShotVista storefront.
- Deliver your next new listing through a ShotVista delivery page, with payment before download if you want it.
What does not move over
- Past orders, galleries and invoices are not imported. Keep your old account until past clients no longer need their downloads.
- There is no public API or bulk import of edited photo history.
- Listings can be imported from Vitec Megler, Visma Megler or Webmegler export files; other systems need the listings created in ShotVista.
Keep BoxBrownie for
- Hand retouching of difficult images
- CGI renders, site plans and listing copywriting
