Switching from Fotello to ShotVista
Switching from Fotello to ShotVista makes most sense for photographers with lower or uneven volume who prefer a small monthly credit plan to per-listing pricing on a monthly volume. If you rely on Fotello’s video, human revisions or API, ShotVista does not replace those.
What changes
- Pricing: monthly credits ($39 for 50, $99 for 130) instead of per-listing pricing billed on volume.
- Revisions: clients request revisions on the delivery page, but there is no in-house human editing team.
- Video: ShotVista makes video reels from listing photos, not cinematic video.
Step by step
- Create a ShotVista account. You get 2 free credits, enough to edit one photo in 4K, without a card.
- Add your logo and brand colours under Business settings so delivery pages look like your business.
- Edit one photo from a past listing you already delivered, and compare it with the version you sent the client.
- Use batch processing to apply the same edits to a whole listing, and fine-tune single photos where needed.
- Pick a plan that matches your monthly volume: Essential (50 credits for $39) or Ultimate (130 credits for $99). One credit edits one photo in 1K; 4K costs 2 and virtual staging 3.
- Set up packages, add-ons and travel fees if you want agents to book you through a ShotVista storefront.
- Deliver your next new listing through a ShotVista delivery page, with payment before download if you want it.
What does not move over
- Past orders, galleries and invoices are not imported. Keep your old account until past clients no longer need their downloads.
- There is no public API or bulk import of edited photo history.
- Listings can be imported from Vitec Megler, Visma Megler or Webmegler export files; other systems need the listings created in ShotVista.
